Episode 1 – Sink or SwimIn Episode 1, 49 castaways started an epic journey in the middle of the Bermuda Triangle. Divided into seven tribes, an immunity challenge came their way. Saboga made a huge statement on the opening day dominating the challenge and the soon to be dominate Casaya came in second place. The five remaining tribes found themselves going to tribal council and voted off their weakest.
Episode 2 – Toss and CatchThree days after the start of the journey, a new challenge came along with this time, four tribes being immune. Timbira went hard at the challenge and Corrine and Randy led their tribe to a dominate performance. Casaya, Galu and Aitu also gained immunity to propel themselves to the Final 41. Three more left at the night’s tribal council including S1 contestant Stephan who was Erik in this season.
Episode 3 – It’s Cool to be SquareEpisode 3 was a sign of things to come with Stacy becoming the first person to suffer from Bermuda Fever. Losing the plot, she created much drama and spread lies of an "Anti-Frosti Alliance" which was the centre of much of the early drama and led to the rise of Frosti as a super-villain of the series. Casaya made it three out of three and Aitu and Saboga joined them in holding immunity. The controversial Stacy was sent home by the King (Frosti) and Russell, Sundra and Bobby Jon departed with her.
Episode 4 – Create Your FateThe first twist of the game occurred with a tribal swap and the winless Malakal and Yasur were merged into the other 5 tribes. The New Aitu and Saboga won immunity and two alleged Anti Frosti Alliance members in Marcus and Paloma were sent packing. Dreamz was also the first victim of the emerging girl power alliance.
Episode 5 – Continue the PatternFollowing the controversial outing of Paloma where Frosti made a statement to the rest of the games players, a new immunity challenge was quickly on the horizon. Saboga won their second straight immunity while Casaya also joined them as one of the immune tribes. With Frosti's bad luck seeming to continue, he had yet to win an immunity challenge, more drama seemed likely to unfold on his tribe. Despite Ethan's hard work in the challenge, Frosti broke his word with him and got the tribe to turn against him and voted him off. Another surprise was the implosion of the short lived "girl power" alliance who turned on Jenna their former leader. This for the mean time kept the men, James and Boston Rob safe. While another inactive was voted off in Kenny on Timbira. The beginnings of a new super-alliance also started known as "AAA" with the aim to take out Frosti and his alliance because of the potential power he was gaining as no one was opposing him at this stage.
Episode 6 – Come on baby, light my fireWith tensions rising against Frosti, more drama unfolded on the forums as revelations of conversations came forward claiming Frosti had made up the Anti-Frosti Alliance for his own gain, claims which were denied by Frosti. Finally this round Frosti had some luck as he obtained his first challenge win, albeit in a reward challenge based mainly on luck! Meanwhile however, Saboga made it three in a row in the immunity arena while Aitu also joined them collecting their second immunity since the last swap. Frosti was forced to vote out Tom, a former ally and this would later come back to haunt him. The girl power alliance, without their leader, seemed to resolve their issues and voted out James, saving Boston Rob in a last minute decision. Sally was also voted off as the inactives quickly disappeared from the game.
Episode 7 – Fight Fire with FireIn this episode, 4 castaways returned with vengeance and got to start off picking new tribes. With the major four players in the game of Taj, Yul, Randy and Frosti all ending up on different tribes, it seemed that there would not be any conflict between them. The new Timbira and Casaya tribes won immunity and this round two controversial players were voted off. Becky on Saboga was the first after her alliance faltered and made a fatal error which meant there was no tiebreaker. The self-proclaimed "King" Frosti was overthrown by his tribe as they voted him out in the first elimination of a major player in the game. Naturally he went out with a bang and made sure everyone knew he was not too happy about leaving
Episode 8 – Picture PerfectWith Frosti's freakout still fresh in everyone's minds, the game continued forward with a new immunity challenge "Picture Perfect." Once again Casaya and Timbira won immunity and were once again safe from tribal council. The now inactive Gregg who was spared last round as Frosti was headhunted, was not so lucky this time as Aitu decided that challenge strength should come ahead of voting power and he was voted off. In a controversial Tribal Council, Tracy was voted off while she produced fake convo's to get their tribe to turn against Aras. Another drama unfolded when Rob posted a conversation publically of Yul threatening him to vote with his allies on Saboga.
Episode 9 – Island to IslandWith the games dramatic start, more drama was to unfold this round. With Rob having successfully mutinied to what appeared a much safer tribe at Timbira for him, pressure grew as Yul placed a bounty on Rob's head due to the controversy in the last round. In the challenge Aitu and Saboga won immunity, sending Timbira and Casaya to tribal council. Timbira had its chance to take out Frosti's ally in Coach, however were weary on the potential prize he picked up in the reward challenge. While he tried hard to save himself, even bringing fake idols into the equation, it was to no luck and he was voted off the tribe. Sandra, like Coach an original Timbiran, was also voted off. Thinking she had the numbers and had not needed to mutiny, that turned out to be her fatal mistake as the tribe voted her out.
Episode 10 – Reach for the SkyWith frustration growing in AAA with Randy's decision not to vote off Rob, unease arose in the alliance for the first time and with Frosti now out, its purpose was relatively minimal, an indication that AAA was potentially coming to an end. Once again Saboga and Aitu won immunity sending the bigger tribes of Timbira and Casaya back to tribal council where Boston Rob was voted out as he was on the outs and PG followed due to the fact she had gone against her word last round and voted with Coach against Randy. At this point more drama unfolded as Boston Rob took public what was happening with Yul and his alliance. Further unease within AAA developed as Rob was once again safe despite being deemed a threat by the majority of the alliance.
Episode 11 – Seek and You Shall FindTimbira won immunity saving any potential problems with the fact Rob remained yet Randy who had control of that tribe had still yet to remove him, however whispers were indeed getting louder due to Rob now surviving two tribal councils. Saboga also joined Timbira in winning immunity, making it three in a row. Candice and Lex left a lot quieter than their former leader in Frosti however it spelled the end of any resurgence of Frosti's former ally's joining back together.
Episode 12 – And the bidding starts at...With the game now over a month old, the first Auction took place. Contestants could bid on a total of 7 mystery prizes, a trip to Devils Island which turned into a game-defining prize as well as immunity as all the tribes were going to Tribal Council. A small drama occurred when Rob and Ethan clashed over a prize where Rob claimed Ethan deleted a post to try sabotage Rob of the prize he fairly won. With the auction over, tribal council was quickly approaching. Natalie, who was on Devils Island with Yul, was quick to find the Hidden Immunity Idol which could be used as a vital tool as her alliance was undertaking a move against the Yul/Taj alliance. More vitally they also got to choose tribes for the next round, which turned game changing in the end. With all the tribes going to Tribal, Colby was voted off Aitu due to recent inactivity and also the fact Kelly had won immunity in the Auction. As Casaya was now shrunk, they had to turn on a Taj/Yul alliance member in Darrah and voted her off. Danni, as the last member of her alliance after Rob mutinied, was voted off despite using her prize which was ineffective in the end. Most importantly, was the emergence of Randy's alliance taking on Taj/Yul and removing Taj's F2 partner in James in one of the games most controversial blindsides and began bitter feelings between the two tribes in the next phase of the game
Episode 13 – Bombs AwayThe merging of the remaining four tribes into two occurred this round and with it, the beginning of Sabaya domination. They won their first challenge in "Bombs Away" which itself had some drama in it as the players on opposing tribes fought. Paloma, tightly aligned with the Sabayan tribe, was targeted for these connections and despite a brave attempt to turn it against Randy, was sent home as the Vinnere tribe remained strong.
Episode 14 – Hooked on YouWith Vinnere being comprehensively beaten in the last challenge, it was not looking good for their near future, however with only one challenge lost, there was still a chance they could turn their hopes around. They did just that when a challenge testing players’ greed came along and Amanda was quick to gobble up the individual immunity and prize on offer. This meant Sabaya were sent to their first tribal council where they had two clear outsiders in Ashley and Kelly. Worried about the potential of an idol in play, the dominating alliance led by Yul and Taj decided to split the vote to minimize risk and Kelly was blindsided and sent him.
Episode 15 – UndoneA new round and a new challenge for the contestants however it wasn't going to be another lucky escape for the Vinnere who were lucky with the last challenge almost being a test of "who is most inactive." Once again Sabaya dominated a challenge and sent Vinnere to tribal council where for the third time and second time in a row, Corrine who was a warrior at the start of the game, was eliminated through self votes. This saved Mick who was on the chopping block and gave himself a chance to redeem himself. Will he take his second life?
Episode 16 – ColorblindIn another one sided contest, Sabaya were streets ahead of Vinnere once again and sent Vinnere to their third tribal council. With some last minute begging and the fact Todd had been up to a few dodgy dealings himself, Mick was saved by the Vinnere tribe and given a second chance and Todd was successfully voted off to keep the tribe strong for the impending merge.
Episode 17 – Behind Enemy LinesIn what was probably the most controversial challenge of the game, a sneaking challenge was put in place. It was a very even contest at the start as Vinnere wanted to end their streak and Sabaya to make a further statement of their dominance, it resulted in a large spamming of videos, a genius tactic thought up by Tom but in the end it was to no avail as Sabaya powered through and got all their members "behind enemy lines." Mick having been saved in the last tribal council was not given another chance given his instability and with the merge getting closer and closer Vinnere made a decision to keep themselves united heading to the merge.
Episode 18 – Gone FinishingAfter complete domination by Sabaya in the challenge both tribes merge at F13. Sabaya had an 8-5 advantage and it seemed to be a foregone conclusion. A Sabayan won the first individual challenge to reinforce their challenge dominance and at the vote Vinnere managed to pull one back through flipping Ashley however it wasn't enough as Cirie was blindsided 7-6 and Randy wasted a potentially vital idol.
Episode 19 – Survivor Gives BackWith their heads down, the Vinneran's seemed down and out with Yul's alliance maintaining the majority, the underdogs seemed well and truly out. However Natalie won immunity breaking the Sabayan streak and in what was a complete surprise for the Sabayan alliance, Amanda was forced to face Tom in a tie breaker, thanks to Aras who began a path that would only begin to change the game. Tom beat Amanda in the TB after she put up a valiant effort and the Vinnerans left Tribal Council with new hope.
Episode 20 – Chain ReactionIf the remaining castaways thought the drama was over, they were to be proven wrong very shortly. Natalie won her second straight immunity which was a sign of hope for the rest of her alliance and with Aras promising to vote off the Sabayan's leader in Yul things seemed to be going to plan and the underdogs were finally in front. However what unfolded was one of the most controversial Tribal councils of the season. A tied vote sent Yul and Randy to a tiebreaker after Aras allegedly voted but there was no vote in his confessionals to show for it. In the Tie Breaker Randy managed to outlast Yul and stay in the game
Episode 21 – Hit Me Baby One More TimeWith the possibility of a 5-5 tie on the cards, with or without Aras, the Vinnerans seemed in a good position and this was further reinforced when their alliance dominated the challenge and were the last standing members in the plate smash, meaning Ashley won immunity. Heading to tribal council, rumours emerged of Ethan receiving Amanda's prize which was a double vote. Aras confirmed to both sides he was voting with them and both sides had hope of reaching the F9 with the power however only one side would gain his vote. Unfortunately for the Vinnerian underdogs, Rob C was blindsided by Aras and sent home packing.
Episode 22 – Dare to be DifferentHeading back to camp with the power firmly in Aras' hands as both alliances were forced to bow down to his every wish, the Vinnerians had kept one secret from him and this was the second hidden immunity idol found at the end of the Tie Breaker against Yul. Randy won his second immunity of the game and first since the merge and the Vinnerians headed into Tribal Council thinking it was their turn for Aras to flip back and felt the idol did not need to be played this round. Continuing his trend, Aras blindsided Natalie and sent the Vinnerians into a bad position.
Episode 23 – Distorted ViewDeciding to go all in, Randy made his final play to Aras telling him of the idol, hoping its power would lure him into flipping. Winning his second immunity in a row eliminated the chance of him being voted out and gave him the ability to give the idol to someone else. Aras told the Vinnerians that his other alliance were voting for Ashley. Not knowing whether to believe him or not, the Vinnerians decided to take the gamble of believing him and Ashley was given the idol. Aras' word turned out good and Ashley had 4 votes against her and Ethan was voted out at the tribal council.
Episode 24 – CorkscrewIf a tribal council could match the drama in Episode 20, it was this one. Randy won his third immunity in a row and once again the power lay with Aras. The Sabayan alliance decided to once again try vote out Ashley with the Vinnerians remaining consistent and voting Mookie however Aras did not flip once again... Luckily for the Vinnerians, Terry self voted which gave them an opening which Ashley took and beat Mookie in the tiebreaker.
Episode 25 – Sucks to be PopularEpisode 25 was the round were the Vinnerians finally gained full control. Randy made it four in a row winning the Majority Rules challenge and the Vinnerians were able to turn the vote against the leader of the remaining Sabayans. Taj, expecting a tied vote however was blindsided by her own alliance and left the game 5-1.
Episode 26 – So I Heard...With the game now with five left, the immunity challenge became of extreme importance. Randy won his 5th immunity in a row in a tricky quotes challenge and was once again safe at the tribal council. Sensing he was on the chopping block, Aras who had lost his power he enjoyed earlier in the game, tried to stay in the game by making a fake Black vote in an attempt to get the tribe to vote Ashley off. However the remaining Survivors remained strong and Aras was voted off 4-1 to become the latest member of the jury.
Episode 27With one final twist thrown at the castaways where they face an elimination challenge and a surprise Final 2, several questions will be asked tonight to decide the fate of the game. Will Randy continue his winning streak? Will Terry the last Sabayan alliance member make it to the end? Will Tom make the most of his second life in the game? And will Ashley, the last female, fight against the odds she has been put through and make it? All this, will be answered tonight!
